We have only done a small part of "66" There was a lot of fun and an adrenaline a specially if you do not know what is next , when you are driving without the map or running out of gas ,looking for a help on the middle of nowhere.... Be prepared to do some challenging driving on this road. In the old days, many folks would hire locals to either drive their cars for them over the Black Mountains or to get their carsOur ride down Route 66 from Kingman to Oatman was breathtaking. High and narow in the mountains stop at one of the pullovers and look out over the valley. It's so quiet you feel like you have to whisper.
